Tuesday’s Breakfast: Don Kayu Manis Porridge n’ Fried Tofu

I woke up early morning, washed the rice, and boiled it until it became a porridge. Tada…! Voila!

“Don Kayu Manis” is a “jukut” too… I mean, kinda green veggie named by the Balinese people as “Don Kayu Manis” a.ƙ.a “Sayur Daun Katuk” by the Indonesian people 🙂

Last night I made a fried tofu, so the rest tofu could be eaten this morning with my veggie porridge! Oh well, I almost forget! Beforehand, I washed the veggie too under the flowing tap water and the a picked only the leaves so I dumped the thin hard branches as usual like the time before I cooked “Kangkung” 😉

And then, I went boiling water, after it was boiled… Plunged the veggie leaves for only a few minutes (maybe what I did is always blanch and blanch) 😀

Then, afterwards… I poured a ‘lil bit water used for boiling the green veggie to my porridge.. And voila… My porridge is ready to be served for me and my husband… (Please kindly add salt n’ pepper or even soy ketchup as your tongue adjustments). For Kiboy? Not yet baby… Let me give you puree broccoli and “tempe” again with the steamed rice :-*

Enjoying serenity in the morning and breakfast (•ˆ⌣ˆ•)/

Ρ.S. This green veggie has GOOD benefits for breastfeeding momma(s) 😉

This Afternoon Lunch: Sauted Shrimp n’ Kangkung for Lunch

Viola… The time of cooking is calling me and here we go what I’ve just cooked… A bunch of vegetables named by Indonesian people as “Kangkung” 🙂 it’s a plant which grows by the water.

I cook and cook. I kept cooking and learned something new from my repeated activity. I believe I would be better to be a co-cook ƪ(ƪ_‾̴̴͡͡ ﻬ ‾̴̴͡͡) I mean a mother.

What I did with this green veggie was cleaning it up under the flowing tap water. And then I chopped the leaf one by one, so the hard green branches are left behind because they are the least eat enable. But if you wish to try eating it, please take a seat… So you could chew it real slow and smooth 😀

After that, what I did was leaving the clean “Kangkung” leaves on a big bowl so they could become “tiris” from the water 😀 hehehehehe… I mean let the Kangkung a moment so it would be a little bit dried 😉

Next! Preparing the spicesssss!!! I Peeled a few onions and shallots, then I chopped into pieces. Next, I chopped a big red chili (we call it here as “lombok”) and I dumped the “lombok” seeds because I didn’t eat the seeds which caused capcaisin reacts with my tongue and I get hot sensation lol!

Oh yes! What about the shrimps? Of course I eat some shrimps, because I haven’t been a vegetarian again yet! So, I took a wok or “wajan” then put it on the stove, I poured enough cooking oil made from “kelapa sawit” to saute and then ignited the stove…. After the cooking oil was quite hot, I poured the shrimps which has been cleaned up beforehand. Let the shrimps become the sauted or maybe exactly fried shrimp hahahah (because I cooked the shrimps ’til they got very brown almost “gosong”), and then I poured the chopped spices including onion, shallot and the “lombok”. After they emitted pretty aroma…

I took the Kangkung and let the green veggie become on the wok together with the fried shrimps and spices… Let the Kangkung become cooked. And I improved it with adding enough salt, pepper and soy ketchup 🙂 *wide smile*

Note to be remember! Don’t make the Kangkung become OVERCOOKED!
Because it would make the Kangkung very very soft and tender but emit something like “lendir” or it’s like veggie saliva? Sorry, I don’t know. However it would taste not really good!

˚☺k!˚ thank you for reading… Have a seat, and enjoy your own lunch whatever your mother or even wife serves on the dining table… 🙂
Don’t forget, say cheers cheese (at the heart only)… And say thank you to your mother/wife for the dishes on the mouth!

“Mamoth, I’m very grateful for what you always cook for our family” :’)

With love,

Intan, your daughter.

Happy Sunday Morning!

Today I was very delightful because Kalki joined me to do Yoga Surya Namaskar 😀

At first I did warming up, and the ‘lil sunshine baby boy Kalki was getting closer to me… What happened next is just AMAZING!

Namaste~

Kipao Progress: 9 months old goin’ to 10

1. Sucking water through a straw of a drinking mug called “Mag Mag” YEAY!!! – thanks oma for buying this baby multifunctional mug for Kipao – Yesterday, Thursday 20th of March ’14 Kalki has been able to suck smoothly and nicely, his mama n’ papa became very very delighted 😀
Several days before, still in this March, we already tried to offer Kalki a glass of mineral water with a straw… And then he could suck the water on the day of “Banyu Pinaruh”, when our baby boy neighbor “Dipa” was holding a spiritual ceremony for his parents “mesakaban” n’ “oton” for Dipa himself (If I’m not mistaken). So, before papa, mama n’ Kalkiboy attending the ceremony, we prepared Kalki’s meal first and feed him lunch. After that, mama offered Kalki a glass of Aqua (mineral water), and he suck the water! Woaaah I was surprised and very glad to my boy 🙂

2. Crawling with speed, til’ his parents and grandparents have sweaty exercise every time accompany him playing hahahahah

4. Climbing baby! Kalki or we always call him “Kiboy” or “Kipao” lately… He could climb whatever he might see.. We mention it a sofa, a lower table, a bed, a big pail, and what else… Tree? Not yet, baby 😀 sometimes Kipao climbs his father/mother’s body too! Gosh! He can climb, he can gets down carefully… Nice, boy! When he is lack of care or he is in hurry, he could slip! Beware, that’s why parents got your back, son.
5. He is learning how to stand up. Nah, this one is still in progress… Papa said that he has already tried standing up by himself coincidentally or unintentionally. Mostly when he was taking a bath, or while playing with papa on the floor 🙂
6. Teeth! A new milk tooth is already coming! While in advance there are 4 teeth (gig seri bawah 2, atas 2… Smile baby smile…. ˚⌣˚

Sorry, Kalkipao mama was very late to update your 9 month progress… Will you forgive me?
Papa and mama are always happy to see you growing, son. We love you ♥♡ stay healthy stay happy (^▼^∫ƪ)

Organic No MSG Noodle for Supper

This is my supper spree… “Alamie” Goreng Bawang..

So buat mie Alamie two thumbs up! Have a try…

Let’s go back to natural organic food (ˆڡˆ) for health and earth ♥♡
